Here is my blog on grounding techniques, there are many out there you just have to find the right one for you, also your kids can join in, here are my boys growing roots and becoming big strong trees :) Why are grounding techniques important? Grounding techniques help us become bound with the earth and its energies. Many space cadets like myself tend to fly free unless grounded. Flying free does sound wonderful but when that is coupled with the earths energy your whole being feels at one. If you ever feel dizzy, spacey, forgetful, aimless, sensitive to noise and light it is possible that you are not grounded or "earthed". We all need a stable constant in our lives on every level of being, the earth energy provides this strong backdrop for a healthy spirit. How often should grounding be practised? I ground myself as often as possible (again as a space cadet it is advisable) and sometimes many times a day. Others feel grounded by doing the exercise once a day or maybe once a lifetime, it depends on your being and whether you are naturally earthed. The nice part is that the exercises are relaxing and no matter how often you need it, when it is practiced you are doing your spirit good by taking this time out. Also the more you do it the easier it is, I personally use no. 2 and now while doing my every day activities I just shoot an anchor down from my spine and feet and I am done, firmly placed on the earths energy matrix. When is it particularly important? Before I do any exercise or try to share healing I always ground myself. I believe that before all spiritual work and contact it is important to have a good base, for me that is Ground + Centre + Protect + Open (the other stages will be in further blogs). Through the years I have tried a few techniques, it is OK to change your technique, keep trying until you find the one that works the best for you. How to start Before any of the following grounding techniques, find somewhere you are comfortable, I am not a great believer in sitting crossed legged on the floor, I believe that what suits you is what will work for you. I prefer to be sat either at a desk or on a comfy chair, I then breathe deeply and relax my body.
Not working? If the above frustrate you, this can be the case when you first begin, do not worry, do not force it, we all find our way and if the above are not right for you there are many things you can do, below is an idea or two for you:

Daily life for me is hectic, just like all others and it is important for me to find the calm between the storms not just before! From hereon-in I intend to share my techniques including Grounding, Meditation, Psychic links and methods such as Sanjeevini Healing so that more people can follow their own paths to becoming connected to source. It is not a secret, it is not something you need to pay thousands for and it should be available for all. Moreover, with two kids I know how important it is to remain healthy and to try and limit the amount of snot/sicky bugs that are brought into the house :-) I welcome all to join me and if there are any techniques/methods that you would like me to blog about please let me know. |
